Surface Roughness Measurement Sensor
Lasercheck® Model 5872 for in-line measuring
The model 5872 Surface Roughness Sensor is Lasercheck's original measurement gage which has been used extensively as an in-line measurement system. With almost 2 decades of operation in steel / aluminum mills, automotive parts plants, semiconductor wafer processing plants and other high volume operations, the system is field-proven for performance and reliability.
Unlike the models 6212 and 8826, the 5872 Surface Rougness Measurement Sensor does not use any external controller or signal conditioner. The surface roughness measurements are transmitted directly to a PC computer for display, analysis and archiving.
This surface roughness sensor works on any material/color (rubber, glass, steel, etc.). There are input triggers for Start, Stop and Saving individual measurement.
Included software will archive individual measurements with a Date and Time stamp. The software can make roughness plots and includes functions for Average Ra Roughness and standard deviations as well as MIN / MAX calcuations.
